Jon Stewart is my hero
LOL! (Pug Dog)

Went to see Jon Stewart live tonight with David and Michelle. The theatre originally gave us seats that were in the front row close to the wall of a VERY high section (about 50-60 feet off the ground). While I was trying to be good, my fear of heights kept kicking in every time I had to stand up to let someone into the row, because my sinus infection is playing hell with my inner ears (which, as long-time readers know, ain't in the best working order to begin with). David talked to the usher, and she was nice enough to talk to her manager and get us seats in the lower section a few rows back, which was just fine with me, and allowed us to have a row together.

Jon was utterly hysterical. He blended a bit of his political Daily-Show-style humor with jokes about religion, his kids and dick jokes. He also improvised well, including an entire bit on pinata fucking and a story about him, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails and a local Atlanta bar. I was still laughing so hard that I nearly fell out of my seat a few times, which made me even more secure in the decision to change seats.

All in all, a wonderful night out.
