Now that Rich Thomas has
let the cat out of the bag, I can officially talk about this.
Two days ago I was given a formal job offer to work as the Alternative Publishing Developer at White Wolf, and I accepted. This is a full-time position in Atlanta, and I will be moving down there to handle PDF and POD products for various White Wolf RPG lines, as well as acting as a pinch-hitter for book development and writing. The title might change before I officially start work, but that's the general gist of things.
As you can imagine, my life is
fucking insane right now. My official start date is October 29th, but I actually got my first assignment for work the day after I was hired. I also have to wrap up my day job on short notice, as well as pack and arrange travel and lodgings for myself. Further, a couple of days after I start work officially, I fly to Iceland for the
EVE Fan Fest to meet the bosses and get to know the EVE stuff.
greebotrill and
garchangel will be staying behind to work on and sell the house and get things sorted before they move down as well, probably in February. I'll be flying down for at least a couple of weeks in November to help out and spend Thanksgiving with them (and work remotely).
Oh, yeah, and I have to go to Nashville for
ICC and back in the middle of that, and my contribution to that is rapidly shifting around (although I'm pretty much convinced I'll be working the table a couple hours each day and sitting in on the majority of WW panels).
So my life has completely changed in a week, but in an utterly fantastic way.
